Audition Tips
There are some general guidelines and tips that everyone auditioning should always keep in mind.

Be polite and respectful. Wait for your turn quietly. Your audition begins when you first arrive at SCCT and does not end until you leave the building. An attitude of disrespect in any way can cost you a role in the show. Don't talk, make faces, or laugh at other auditioners, etc. when it is not your turn. How you act matters as much as how well you act.
Be properly prepared. If a monologue is required, pick one and allow yourself time to learn it well. Find out if audition sides are available in advance. Try to find out the roles that are available - and what the director is looking for. If a song is required, pick some type of show tune that is age-appropriate. Be sure to pick a song in your range. It is more important to pick a song that is right for you, than just to pick a song because it is well known. Work with a teacher at school, a choral director at your church or ask the advice of a vocal coach ahead of time. Always do your homework!
Dress appropriately. Keep your hair out of your face and hands out of pockets. Wear shoes you can move in.
Things to bring: Bring head shot or photo to every audition. Bring your schedule so you can check conflicts. Resumes are great as well.
When it's your turn to audition: Introduce yourself. Project! Articulate! Have a positive attitude! Show us high energy! Don't worry if you make a mistake. Don't be afraid to ask to start over.
Don't say you can't do something. Try it. Directors want casts who are willing to take chances.
After the audition: Think about what you have learned. Then forget about "how you did". SO many factors affect casting that it is a waste of time to worry about it. Feel good about yourself. There are MANY people that would not have the courage to audition - and you did! Come back and try again if you don't get cast this time!

compensation: $19 an hour Lucky 415 Marketing and Promotions is searching for outgoing and energetic brand ambassadors for an upcoming event in Wilmington, NC.

Scope of Work: Brand Ambassador will be working with our on-site team for a store celebration. This is going to be a HUGE event and there will be give-aways, prizes, and a lot of attendees at the event. For the main event date, most ambassadors will be working OUTSIDE, directing attendees through the lots. Roles will vary between directing parking, communicating in the main area to help show people where to go, help people with their items to and from the cars, and inside helping with the give aways.

Event Dates:

July 12th- 3-7pm (This date will be all inside, stuffing goodie bags and prize boxes)

July 14th- 5am-5pm (This date is mainly outside, you will get plenty of breaks, water and snacks provided)

Payrate: $19 per hr for Brand ambassadors, $20 per hour for TL **Team lead duties only vary in checking in the team for the day, sending in group photos, checking out the team for the day, and delegating breaks.

***Preference will be given to those who are available for BOTH dates. TL must be available for both dates.

Must be extremely reliable, outgoing and able to engaging to greet new people. You will get plenty of breaks from the sun, water/snacks provided through out the day. You will be OUTSIDE. So please only apply if you are comfortable with the weather and being outdoors.

LOG LINE: After falling in love with a swanky touring musician, a small-town waitress life has been put on hold, awaiting false promises of his return.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:

Dex (Male, 22-35, Caucasian or African-American): A swanky touring musician. The object of our main character, Royas, affection. He is slick, charming, and manipulative. Egotistic and snake-like. MAJOR SPEAKING ROLE.

Glenn (Male, 30-60, any ethnicity): The manager of the diner our main character, Roya, works at. He is good-humored yet stern. He knows exactly how he wants his restaurant run. He is protective of Roya and is somewhat of a fatherly-figure to her. MAJOR SPEAKING ROLE.

Jamie (Female OR Male, 22-35, any ethnicity): A customer in the diner the night our story takes place. He/She is unassuming and a warm presence for our main character, Roya.
