Curtains Up Inc. is now casting featured roles in The Wizard of Oz.

This production will take place at the Woodruff Arts Center 14th Street Playhouse in May 2012. This premier performing arts studio is casting teenagers to play Uncle Henry, Auntie Em, Professor Marvel and the Wizard of Oz. Also casting The Emerald City Ozians and Flying Monkeys.

Auditions are Saturdays in January and February from 12:00-2:00 and Tuesdays from 4:00-6:00.

Ant Hill Live is proud to announce its 2012 season auditions! We are looking for professional youth between the ages 6-17 to become a part of a multifaceted performance group.

Rehearsals will be held throughout the season and actors and dancers shall be paid per show. The opportunities available to perform with Ant Hill include: live event performances, television productions, in-school performances and many other exciting opportunities!

Please bring resume and head shot. You may prepare a short monologue along with 32 bars of a song of your choice (appropriate for children). Please bring your own vocal track. We will not have a pianist on site. Mp3 players are fine but have them ready to go! You will learn choreography and then be split into groups. Please wear clothing and shoes appropriate for dance. You will then step forward and present your prepared parts.

Call backs for children will include dance with the characters.

Arrive at 1:30 PM to register and prepare. Audition will begin promptly at 3 PM. Call backs will be the following day, January 29th.

This audition is for a full year of performances with Ant Hill, please be prepared to commit to the production!

Yeeehaw! Children’s Garden Theater is holding auditions for “The Big Bad Wolf,” the 3rd chapter in the Children’s Garden Series. The moon is full and the Wolf is on the prowl. Jack watches over his new meadow of sheep, while Little Red Ridinghood tries to go visit her Granny in the woods. In the meantime, the Three Pigs are having trouble running their restaurant, and one sheep goes against the flock. This original country musical is a knee slapping good time!

Auditions are: Sunday, January 29th, 2012 at 2:00 until 4:00 PM AND Monday, January 30th, 2012 at 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

There is no need to prepare anything. We will teach you a song from the show, and have you read various scenes. Please arrive early to fill out audition forms and conflict sheets.

Rehearsals for the 10-18 year olds will run from 6:00-8:30 on weekdays, with some rehearsals on weekends.. Kids with lead roles can expect to rehearse 3-4 days per week. A complete rehearsal schedule will be provided after the show has been cast after conflicts are taken into account.

There is a $150 production fee for everyone cast in the show. Scholarship opportunities are available on a case by case basis. This fee covers the cost of the artistic staff, costumes, and sets for the show. The production fee also goes to cover “Red Carpet Night” which includes dinner at a restaurant as well as a limousine ride to the theater.

Off broadway children's theatre is producing "pinkalicious" as a summer stock camp production june 11-22, with performances june 22-24 at the studio theatre at offbroadway.

Auditions will be held june 11th at 10am. Camp will be from 10-3 m-f of each week.
Camp cost is $450.
Auditionees should prepare 18measures of a musical theatre song and be prepared to learn a short dance.
This show and camp is open to ages 7-14. A $50 deposit is due upon registration to hold a spot.
All materials and snack will be provided, students must bring sack lunch daily.

FSU film school graduate student is casting lead actor and actress for a thesis film, which is about 15 minutes long and shot in Red One.

The story, set in 16th century England, is about a rebellious girl and her tough father.

Her escaping home's adventure ends up meeting bad person and saved by her father. However, the failure of her adventure brings the father and daughter closer.

There'll be sword fighting and horseback riding scenes. So knowing sword stunt and horseback riding will be a huge plus. British accent will also be required.
